Applicants are required to submit a written personal statement and 1-2 Referee Reports (invite referees to fill in Referee’s Report and return to the University: tpgadmission@eduhk.hk).

Applicants should normally (1) hold a recognized bachelor’s degree or equivalent, (2) have three years of professional experience in schools or educational organizations (outstanding graduates with less working experience will also be considered and guided for mentorship/ internship), and (3) preferably have leadership experience or aspire to become a leader.

Shortlisted applicants are required to attend an interview.

Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained from an institution in a non-English speaking system should normally fulfil one of the following minimum English proficiency requirements:

  • IELTS 6.0 (the test result should be valid within two years); or
  • Grade C or above in GCSE / GCE OL English; or
  • a TOEFL score of 80 (internet-based test, but Home Edition is not considered); or
  • Pass in Test for English Majors-band 8 (TEM-8); or
  • Band 6 in the Chinese Mainland’s College English Test (CET) a total score of 430 or above and the test result should be valid within two years; or
  • Other equivalent qualifications.

Block Credit Transfer

If any student has completed Preparation for the Principalship Course for Aspiring Principals provided by EdUHK within 7 years, they can apply for block credit transfer. A total of 3 credit points will be granted and the course EDA6109-Virtual Consultancy will be exempted for the student.

If any student has completed Professional Development Programmes (PDP) offered by EPL from 2016/17 onwards, they can apply for block credit transfer.  Details listed below:

Each participant can only apply block credit transfer for 1 course (3 credit point) in the whole LILO study.

Tuition

The tuition fee is HKD 146,000. Tuition fees paid are normally not refundable or transferable. All successful applicants will be considered for the prestigious Dean’s Postgraduate Entrance Scholarship.
