Innovation Development Project

Synopsis + / –

All participants will be required to complete an Innovation Development Project that will constitute the analysis of leadership, innovative practice and organizational learning in the participants’ organization, or in the design and implementation of an initiative.

The project will account for structures that support innovation and professional / organizational learning that are needed for the initiative to be successful. The project will be of significance to the participants’ own working context and draw on relevant literature, theories and practices examined across the programme, with a view to impacting on organizational improvement.

Assessment + / –

(a) Pathway 1:
Project proposal (40%): Participants formulate a proposal and video-record a “pitch” to a potential investor, organizational leader, or leadership team. Length: 10-15 minutes.

Project analysis and report (60%): Participants consolidate learning from across the programme by developing a written analysis, technical proposal and implementation plan in light of their assessment of relevant literature. Word length: 3,000 – 3,500 words.


(b) Pathway II:
Project proposal (40%): Participants prepare a video-recorded presentation of the project proposal developed for the Practitioner Research for Organizational Learning course but adapted to account for their refined focus and consolidated learning framework. Length: 10 – 15 minutes.

Project analysis and report (60%): Participants consolidate learning from across the programme by evaluating relevant literature and reporting on the implementation of their project proposal. Word length: 3,000 – 3,500 words.
